Noah Kaeser
We took on Noah as an apprentice position in the summer of 2005,
and he quickly showed his woodworking skills. Now it's as if he was here
from the start.
Noah is truly an asset and very versatile. Whether is it
the setup of a fine double bass or the complete restoration of one, Noah is up
to the task.
Noah has quite an interesting background. Operating his own
forge, Noah is a skilled sculptor working in many different mediums (see bronze
Heron below). Music
is also nothing new to Noah. Noah's father is a harpsichord maker (did you
know that southeastern Connecticut is the harpsichord making center of the world?)
and Noah grew up around instrument making. He has made a number of
original instruments based on violins. Recently he has constructed an
original model violin that was to be a silent, practice instrument...but Noah
and Eric are now turning it into an electric violin.
Some of his work can be found pictured
below.
